Jensyn Oertel-Modero: (Book/Lyrics) Jensyn is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory with a B.F.A. In Musical Theatre. She currently teaches Theatre and Musical Theatre at Rahway High School. In addition to teaching and writing, Jensyn directs and choreographs for educational and community theatre. Recent credits include the following: American Idiot, New Jersey Summer Theatre Workshop, The Crucible, Rahway High School (FOXY Nomination Best Director/Overall Drama), and Peter Pan, Mt. St. Dominic Academy. Jensyn is also the co-founder of Just Off Broadway Productions, a community theatre organization based out of Union County, NJ. She is an advocate for theatre education in our schools and is a proud member of STANJ and AATE. Her greatest role to date is that of mommy to Mackenzie and Jackson.
David Modero(Music/Lyrics)- David is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers with a BM in Voice/Music Education. David has worked for the last 14 years as a music educator in the Sayreville and Caldwell/West Caldwell public schools. He has also worked as musical director and conductor for many school and community theatre productions for many years. David has been nominated for Outstanding Musical Direction and Outstanding Performance by an orchestra from the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for his performances at James Caldwell High School and Mount St. Dominic Academy. Professionally Developed is his first attempt at writing a full musical and has been an extremely humbling rewarding experience. David would like to thank all those who worked on the project to bring it to life especially the cast for their talents, his lifelong friend Jack Bender for his unbelievable collaboration and arrangements, and his personal and professional partner Jensyn Oertel-Modero for writing, directing, and having an amazing vision for this heartfelt story. Jack Bender is a freelance musician from Jersey City, NJ. After graduating from Rutgers University in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, he taught choir and music theory at Bloomfield High School, leaving in 2006 to pursue performing and composing. In 2008 he and lyricist/bookwriter Cynthia Meryl premiered "Midnight Madness", a musical based on Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", at the NJPAC in Newark, as well as the Alvin Ailey Theater as part of the New York Music Theatre Festival. He is an accomplished composer and arranger of both sacred and secular music for vocal and instrumental ensembles, and often works as a music director for regional and community theaters throughout New Jersey. He is the organist for Sacred Heart church in South Plainfield, NJ, and the pianist for City Winds Woodwind Trio.
